This series was born on a hike along the Milford Track, with its first sketches penned in Mintaro Hut. It attempts to capture that impossible feeling of walking with friends through Aotearoa’s wild landscapes. The awe, the sore legs, the conversations out loud and the ones in your head. The artist knows it can never be fully captured, but each painting serves as both a reminder of past journeys and an encouragement to get out there again.
